The AGM was a time to reflect on our accomplishments over the past year …
as featured in the Annual Reports given to the membership.
First and foremost, we are all truly grateful for the woman-power in this guild
working to achieve the guild’s objectives – Gathering, Creating, Learning,
Displaying and Giving.
We do it because we love it, but it was nice to be acknowledged by the Mayor’s
Volunteer Award from the Town of Canmore. In appreciation members received a
tote bag gift.
Thankfully, the guild is grounded by our Gatherings and strong personal
connections. We have gravitated back to gathering in-person and continue with hybrid format for those ill or travelling.
We are all grateful for the learning provided by the Education program. We share quilting inspiration and socialize at all gatherings, Quilt till You Wilt, Bee Groups and ‘Show and Share’ to name a few.
We make time to Create quilts!! And we Show them to the community at the
Visions Show and the Canadian Rockies Quilt Show.
We continue to Give to Community Outreach by each doing our projects of
choice.
We are grateful for being kept informed through our newsletter, website & social
media.
Our interesting guild activities keep us engaged in the guild, and using your quilt
photos in all communications will attract attention beyond ourselves.
We are grateful to those joining the leadership team for next year. We greatly
appreciate and thank the outgoing executive and coordinators for their service.
We are a small and mighty guild. We have lots of to be proud of.
Enjoy the much-awaited summer. We will gather again refreshed to go it again in
the Fall.
