Year-end 2024 is a time to reflect on all the benefits we receive from belonging to the Mountain Cabin Quilt Guild
I am grateful for the inspiration and creativity gained from coming together throughout the year. The comradery is in itself rewarding.
As a guild we GATHER at meetings in-person and on zoom, at Potlucks and Guild Night. Lots of gathering happens at the breaks & pre-meeting meetings.
As a guild we CREATE amazing quilts. Our productivity is encouraged by Show and Share and ‘Quilt Till You Wilt’ days. The 2-day Quilt Till You Wilt was an experiment that we will endeavor to continue. Creating also happens at Virtual QTYW & Bee Groups.
As a guild we LEARN from speakers in-person or on zoom, from Stitch ‘n Learn demos at QTYW and from our Library. Awe-inspiring workshops are readily available in-person and online at a very reasonable cost.
As a guild we PROMOTE QUILTING IN THE COMMUNITY and SHOW OUR QUILTS AT THE CANADIAN ROCKIES QUILT SHOW and THE ART QUILT SHOW. The refurbished website publicizes meetings, shows, workshops and allows us to register for quilt shows/ workshops online. Facebook &/or Instagram will allow us to further publicize Guild events. Quilt teaching is back at ArtPlace.
As a guild we GIVE to our community outreach – we choose to make gifts of comfort and beauty and we know that they are appreciated.
As a guild we are willing to VOLUNTEER to keep the Guild financially sustainable and allow us to reach the Guild’s ‘tried-and-true’ objectives.
We are truly grateful for each other’s talents and friendship, for our member benefits and the creative energy to make them happen.
